Coach

My Background: I started playing disc golf in college in 2014 for the Ferris State University Bulldogs Collegiate Disc Golf Team. I was fortunate to learn quickly from the existing players and helped contribute to 2 National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships in 2015, and 2017. Since then, I have continued competing (and growing my disc golf collection to 500+ discs) and have reached a career high PDGA rating of 972 (as of July 2022). I aspire to become 1,000+ rated and spend some time as a touring professional. I have a background as a Snowboard Instructor where I taught a range of age and skill levels. I am currently an Engineering Manager where I continue my passion for teaching. Through these experiences, I have sharpened my skills in teaching others by being a good listener, and observing the learning styles of students. I have found that each person learns through different methods and in some combination of the following learning styles: [visual (watch me), audio (listen to instruction), physical (perform yourself)]. I have alot of familiarity with Innova and Discraft and can recommend discs based on arm speed and preferred shot type. Together, we can improve your disc golf game, one shot at a time!
